Does anyone else find Birkenstock shoes visually appealing?
I honestly don’t think they’re that bad but they are widely dissed and only favoured for comfort- not style…am I the only one!?
I love them. They’re everything good.

Thanks!
I am pretty sure any clothing item that can only be described by the word "potato" was never in style.
Al Gore could become world’s first carbon billionaire
Al Gore, the former US vice president, could become the world’s first carbon billionaire after investing heavily in green energy companies.
Last year Mr Gore’s venture capital firm loaned a small California firm $75m to develop energy-saving technology.
The company, Silver Spring Networks, produces hardware and software to make the electricity grid more efficient.
The deal appeared to pay off in a big way last week, when the Energy Department announced $3.4 billion in smart grid grants, the New York Times reports. Of the total, more than $560 million went to utilities with which Silver Spring has contracts.
The move means that venture capital company Kleiner Perkins and its partners, including Mr Gore, could recoup their investment many times over in coming years.

Isn’t it special that Al’s Powerpoint movie on CO2 may give him the means to make him stinking filthy rich at OUR expense?
Any US media reporting Brother Al’s dealings? Unlikely….
If the crap & tax bullsxit goes thru, Al will wind up making Bill Gates look like a street bum as the bogus ‘global warming’ tax just happens to go to a corp that Big Al happens to own. http://newsbusters.org/node/11149

besides payless. Is their another shoe co. thats copy’s them but not like so much money to spend
I don’t know where to start. Firstly, if you can’t afford the real thing, just don’t wear it. Secondly, Birkenstocks are hideous and are never to be worn in public or in the privacy of your own home, ever, ever, ever. NEVER. EVER. Do you get it? Don’t wear them - it’s disrespectful to me and I don’t appreciate it. Wear something respectable in public.
anyone know where i can find cheap birkenstock shoes??? online or in california plz

Some people call them potato shoes. I like the style and everything but the birkenstocks are a little too expensive. I’m looking to pay &25-$35 for them, maybe a little more. I know some people think they’re ugly but I want some.
try these sites:

hope it helped.
I was planning on wearing my Birkenstock clogs to school tomorrow
They are well worn and comfortable, but I haven’t worn them in a while, and I have no idea what to wear with them. My pair are the black ones, and are fairly clean, so they look pretty new. Last year Birkenstock shoes were "in" and most people wore them in the fall, with various outfits. I was just wondering what I should wear with them. Someone said they need to be worn with socks? That seems kind of strange to me, but I don’t really know anymore. Also, white or black socks? I might just be wearing pants over them though… What do you think?
when I say they were "in" I mean, about 2/3 of the girls in school had Birkenstock clogs.
I wore my Birkenstocks today for the first time since last winter. Mine are light brown, and I wore them with jeans and a solid yellow sweater. Since yours are black, I would wear them with black or grey sweater and khakis or dark jeans. I always wear socks with mine. For black shoes, I’d go with black socks.
Ok so I just bought 2 button down shirts from Express and was wondering what to wear them with….
I would like to wear them with jeans but im not sure what to wear over it, like what type of sweaters would look alright.
Also I have uggs but am not sure that theyd look right with it. I am a very casual dressing person and the most dressy shoes I own are basic tan slip on clog shoes, birkenstock style.
Thanks
i would wear maybe a sweater vest over the button down shirt, or possibly a crewneck or v neck sweater. you could also wear it open, not buttoned, with a cami underneath in a coordinating color. i would definately not wear the uggs. I usually wear stuff like this with either my birks, or quite possibly some sort of oxford shoe or boots.
as far as what type of sweater, that would entirely depend on the color of the shirt.
well i was at waffle house and the waitress dropped a plate and pieces of bacon landed on my shoes. now there are spots of bacon grease on them. how can i clean these shoes?
please help
they are the Boston style.
please no " you should have made the waitress pay for them" or anything like that.
Thanks
Your best option is to use a suede shampoo/cleaner, which you should be able to get at most shoe stores. Birkenstock makes one called Suede and Nubuck Renew, but you can try other brands.
First, you take a soft, dry washcloth, and gently rub the areas that are stained to raise the nap of the suede. Then follow the instructions on the cleaner.
As a last resort you can try using a very small amount of white vinegar on a lightly dampened washcloth.
