are the shoes expensive at davids bridal?

where can i get pretty cheap shoes for my wedding here in dallas are shoes in davids bridal expensive?
whats db shoes?

Yes, they are overpriced there like everything else. Try shoebuy.com or payless. Macy’s would have some too but a little on the pricey side, but no more so than David’s Bridal. Try online at Target.com they have a new wedding section online. If it doesn’t fit, you can return it to the store for free. I also know JcPenny online has bridal shoes, not a big selection, but still.

Comfortable Bridal Shoes?

I’m getting married on the 25th of May, I’m trying to find a website to order comfortable wedding shoe for me. Any Ideas? I don’t want an 3-10 inch high heels. I’m also wear Wide Width Shoes… so that makes it harder and I’m also 5′3. Please!! Give me some ideas!! :) Thanks!

Okay, just got married and I adored my shoes (do NOT buy into this nonsense that you can’t find comfortable "wedding" shoes.)

1. If you have your heart set on white or ivory shoes (or custom color shoes), then it’s fairly easy to order them online because dyeable shoe lines often offer wide (and even extra wide) styles. You can even search based on these criteria.
Check out
http://www.saltzbridalshoes.com/
or just do a search on dyeables or dyeable shoes. They have lots of options for flats and even low heels with a cute open toe.
Zappos.com is another good resource though I wasn’t thrilled with their prices

2. Buy yourself some Foot Petals. They really work and come in all kinds of colors. I found mine and Nordstroms. I used the strappy strapz and the little cushions for the ball of the foot. They’re awesome (and they stick to satin better than Dr. Scholls). http://footpetals.com

3. Finally, I custom ordered my wedding shoes from SteveMadden.com for just $99 through their "Design Your Own" (DYO) collection. I ordered the "Couger" wedge which is a sandal and made my size 9 feet look postively dainty. (I wanted height and these gave me at least 3 inches.) I ordered a silver upper (straps) and shimmery gold wedge. I know they sound a bit tacky but they were totally adorable and so easy to walk in! The great thing about a wedge is that they’re easier to balance on then regular heels. Plus, they don’t sink into the grass like other heels. They take about 3 weeks to get to you once you order.

And a few final words of advice:
1. Get your shoes quickly so that you can practice walking and dancing in them and break them in.
2. If you’re wearing a floor-length gown, NO ONE is going to notice your feet. If you’re still worried, then get one pair of gorgeous shoes for pictures and (if you must) the walk down the aisle, then switch into something more comfortable for the reception.
3. These days, brides aren’t opting for white shoes as often. There are lots of great metallic options out there or, if you’re feeling, adventurous, you could wear blue shoes for your something blue.

Good luck!

What do you think of bridal shoes and a bit of color for the bride?

Hello!
I am searching for the shoes that I will wear with my gown on my wedding day. Recently, I was looking at many photography portfolios and seemed to have found a trend…. Many of the brides had nontraditional bridal shoes (Red, purple..so on) . I am usually very traditional (Ivory/White) however this trend has stayed in the back of my mind. What do you think of bridal shoes and the color they should be? Traditional? A splash of color? I am currently interested in this shoe from Payless’s dyables: http://www.unforgettablemoments.com/Audrey-Dyeable-Slingback-Peep-Toe–Wide-Width_p_52.html

My gown is ivory so if I were to be traditional I would pick french vanilla, however I was also looking at the sea glass color. It is a very light blue so it wouldn’t be "screaming" color however it would be a bit different and it would/could serve as my "something blue". Opinions would be great! Thank you!

Your wedding day is a reflection of your dreams. Dreams are best in color.

Choose the color of shoes that make your dreams come true - isn’t that what your wedding day is all about? Making your dreams a reality?

If you’re thinking about it - then do it. What’s the harm? If you really don’t like the color of your shoes in your photos - the photographer can easily change that.

Congratulations and have some fun - traditional or in color

Are bridal shoes just regular shoes but they call them bridal and charge more?

Do you know where I can get some cheap bridal shoes, the cheapest I see is $59

Check department stores and shoe discount places (Zappo’s, DSW, etc). They don’t have to be called "bridal" shoes. They don’t even have to be white - the bride can wear whatever shoes she wants on her wedding day.

This is really direct, but I assume you’re not living in the United States? Because I don’t think our shoe-sizing system has a two and a half, especially for adult sizes! Try these links:

Comfortable bridal shoes?

Hi! I am getting married this summer and need to find shoes for me and my bridesmaids. Their dresses are short, so I am looking for a comfortable strappy-sandal with a low heel. (We briefly considered ballet flats, but they don’t look right with their dresses.)

Has anyone had experience with either Touch Ups or Nine West Dyeables? Are they comfortable? I would be ordering them from a shoe store and wouldn’t be able to try them on first. Here are the two styles I like best:

http://www.dyeableshoestore.com/dyeable-shoe-store/sandals/low-heel–1—-1-7-8-/lynn–1-1-4–heel.asp
http://www.dyeableshoestore.com/dyeable-shoe-store/sandals/splendor-2–heel.asp

If you have suggestions for other brands, please feel free to let me know. Oh — they need to be relatively inexpensive and they don’t have to be dyeable, as long as they come in a silver or neutral color.

Here is the bridesmaid dress if you’d like to see it. The color will be "Pacific Blue."

Thanks!
Oops. HERE is the bridesmaid dress:
http://www.anntaylor.com/catalog/product.jsp?productId=5073&N=1200051&pCategoryId=193&categoryId=229&Ns=CATEGORY_SEQ_229&defaultColorNameFromCategory=Crimson&defaultSizeTypeFromCategory=Misses

I dunno if u ge these shoe brands over in the U.S. but these ranges are gd, type the company names into google:

Rainbow shoes= dyeable, low heeled and comfy, some have paddin at the top of the shoe, this also do kids shoes.

Fillipa scott= Good designs and have pads at the ball point of the shoe, so no painful feet!

Diane Hassal= Hand made designs with extreme comfort!! abit expensive though.

Benjamin Adams= Quite comfy and good designs, but not as comfy as the others.

Fifi= Quite alot of strappy styles, but again not as comfortable.

And gabriella lucido, there’s not many open toe shoes in the collection though.

Hope this helps, have a good wedding :)

David’s Bridal Shoes - Uncomfortable?

I ordered DB shoes to go with my bridesmaids dresses. They have cornflower blue dresses and the shoes i ordered were dyed navy. They came in this week, and i slipped one on and even though the shoe wasn’t my size i could tell it was going to be very uncomfortable. no arch support and it felt like i was standing on a brick. I don’t know what to do. I feel really bad bc i think they will complain about it, & i ordered it for them to make it easier so they all had the same shoe. Has anyone had experience with DB shoes? were they really uncomfortable for you? do you think it would be better if we put a gel insole on the bottoms of them? should I return them? Or should I not care because I don’t have to wear them? I just remember at my brothers wedding, we were able to find and wear our own shoes, but those were black. They were my own shoes and my feet were still dying at the end of the day. I cant imagine what these shoes are going to feel like for them and I dont know what to do about it!

As part of a bridesmaid gift why not get them some navy colored flip flops to wear at the reception? Old Navy has them for $2.50 a pair. Or can you see if you can find some Dr. Scholl gel inserts. I’m sure the shoes won’t be that bad for the actual ceremony and pictures. Dress shoes aren’t usually that comfortable no matter where they come from.
