What comfortable shoes are business casual?

I have really bad feet. I work in a restaurant and wear orthopedic shoes. I got an internship in an office and the dress is business casual. What kind of shoes can I wear that won’t hurt my feet?

If you have orthopaedic shoes and are supposed to wear them that is one of the accommodations that business must make for disabilities, no matter how minor (though I’m sure bad feet are not minor to you). There are various flats and loafers that qualify just fine. Business casual is pretty lenient on footwear, except that it excludes sneakers, flip-flops, open back shoes. This is something that is better asked of someone in human resources, and the dress code can vary in its contents from place to place.

What kind of casual shoes does a 54 year old woman wear?

I have been wearing jeans and tennis shoes forever. Now I feel kind of silly wearing them. I really don’t know what goes with jeans OTHER than tennis shoes. Have any ideas. I want to look more classy.

my mom is 54 and she wears shoes kinda like these http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/3056485/0~2376778~2372808~6015204~6015243?mediumthumbnail=Y&origin=category&searchtype=&pbo=6015243&P=1 but with a slightly lower heel. so not too fancy, not too casual, so they can go with more than just jeans if she needs shoes in a pinch.

boston store actually sells a lot of great shoes similar to that, im 23 and im jealous of some of my moms shoes

Why is it so bloody hard for men to find a decent pair of casual shoes?

I’ve been for a jaunt up town today, and where ever mine eyes look all they see is endless shoe shops dedicated to women. With a raggedy little corner for men’s formal shoes.

It just isn’t cricket!

I must admit, mens shoes do seem to be having a little crisis at the moment, they are all rather feminine! But jeez, you should try being a woman - I want a pair of bootcut jeans, just plain - no rips or bells, and I want them to wear with flat shoes, not heels. Also, a plain sodding shirt! Just a plain fitted shirt without pleats or puffy bits or sleeveless arms! Why does womens fashion have to be so blooming frilly?

Vampy, really? "It’s just not cricket" is the most English saying you can get!

What are some comfortable shoes for business casual?

I have to satnd up all day at my job and its business casual so sneakers wont do. The shoes I have kill my feet in 4 hours. I need something very comfortable yet professional. Thanks!

Check at Easy Spirit. They have some really cute styles with plenty of cushioning or room for a gel insole. Here’s a link to the categories of shoe they currently offer. I’d start in Dress/Career and also Classics, but the Casual category might also have something to fit your needs.

If you don’t want to stick to flats, here’s a cute style that’s got height to it (a wedge heel) but would be easy to walk in, while still looking professional.

Here’s another style that happens to be on sale. It’s got an open toe and a smaller heel.

Sould work and casual shoes be the same size?

I have heard that work shoes should be of a larger size, though it makes no sense to wear a loose shoe.

You should wear what is comfartable for you. I think what you heard about larger sizes in work boots is because most people (well, old school people like me lol) will wear a thicker sock at work. Also because the feet tend to swell durind a long work shift.
