EASTBAY.com - One Stop Athletic Shopping by Sunny Marshall

If your family is anything like mine, it’s not uncommon to have one kid in soccer, another kid in basketball, and baseball season looming just around the corner. I have spent countless hours driving around town to find soccer cleats, baseball gloves and athletic clothing for my kids, and that’s not even mentioning all the shopping I’ve done for my husband’s sporting activities or my own running. You can imagine how excited I was when I discovered Eastbay.com.  All the stuff I needed for my family in one place online, available when it is convenient for ME to shop, not based on brick and mortar store hours.

Eastbay.com has every name brand athletic gear you can imagine, like Nike, Adidas, Asics and Reebok.  Not only do they have shoes, which seem to be the item I purchase the most, but they also have athletic gear, everything from baseball gloves and bats to basketballs and helmets.

There is a WIDE variety of clothing for men, women and children and tons of name brands, too. Boardshorts, Polo shirts, running clothes, Nike Pro, track jackets, hoody’s and lots more.  They even offer college tees with the school name or mascot emblem at an incredibly low price: two shirts for $19.99. I know when I’ve gone to the local college store to buy tees I’ve spent over $20 just for one!

The site is super easy to use. You can search by sport or by category and find whatever you need very quickly.  I even bought my daughter’s birthday present from Eastbay: a Reebok Cheerleader Gift set that included a cheerleader outfit, pom-poms, a megaphone and stickers all for under $20.

So trust me, save yourself the gas money and the time and visit Eastbay.com to shop for your family’s athletic gear.  Who doesn’t want to make their life a little easier?

How do you sew or make your own Converse shoes?

I wear a size 18 shoe and have been looking for lightweight shoes for boxing but because of my shoe size, they only make up to a size 15 for boxing footwear. The closest I’ve found for boxing footwear are Converse, but they too don’t make them in my size. They seem easy to make so it shouldn’t be too difficult as I am experienced in sewing and making my own clothing. If anyone has instruction or a website I can go to, I would be most grateful.

Thanks ^_^

I’ve not tried it, but there are a number of books on making shoes: http://www.costumes.org/ADVICE/1pages/shoelinks.htm

BTW, do you know of Oddball Shoes in Portland? http://www.oddball.com — 18s are medium sized there.

I am looking for these converse shoes but I cant seem to find them any ideas?

I am looking for these half orange half black hi top converse all star shoes. ive looked on their website and the website of the store i seen it from , but ive had no luck. Anyone think they might have an idea about the shoe im talking about? o yea they are not the ones with orange flames. thanks to anyone who can help.

You need shoes??? YOU need shoes? Oh my god, come one. IN MY COUNTRY, we can’t afford shoes, yet you set out on a long journey just to find a set of expensive CONVERSE? Try wearing two plastic grocery store bags on your feet every day for 39 years and maybe you won’t be such a greedy person. Ugh.

Do Converse shoes generally fit the same?

I have trouble finding shoes that fit well because my feet are kind of wide. I found a pair of Converse shoes that I liked about a year ago, and they fit really well but now they are starting to wear out. If I ordered another pair of Converse shoes online, but in a different style, do you think they would fit well like my old pair. That is to say, are the different styles pretty similar in size and width? Thanks.
The pair I have are not the Chuck Taylors. They are more of a skate shoe.

In my experience, not completely.
Yes, they are overall the same size, but they don’t always fit exactly the same.

Generally, the longer you own the shoe, the better it fits.

I’d suggest not ordering online, as there are always chances that they won’t fit even if you were to measure your foot for exact measurements.

I’m going to get Converse shoes. How can I make them look a little less… overused?

I’m going to get a pair of Converse shoes for when I don’t want to wear my other shoes. Anyway, it seems like everybody has Converse shoes now. How can I make them more unique? If you have any suggestions for unique designs or colors (you can design your own on the Converse website), it would be appreciated.

My freind used fabric markers and they looked so cool on her shoes. If you have black converse, then just use a silver marker. That would look kool. The designs were different "patches" of zebra, swirlies, stars, peace signs, and her name on the front. Good Luck!

Converse shoes??

What is the color of your Converse shoes? I’m thinking about getting a pair and I want the most popular color. I don’t like high-tops but still answer about the color! Thanks!
:]
Can anyone give me links? I kind of want an actual color… not black.

I have 4 pink and green plaid, black, navy, purple, and red

converse shoes?

how to you tie your shoes if you have converse
do you let the stings hang or do you put them into your shoe what is the style now days ?

You dont tie converse shoes you have to tuck the string in the shoe. Some pepole leave the strings hanging. That’s tacky Plus I don’t recommend that because you can fall and break your neck that way.I’m 18 and they way me and many other kids do is tuck the strings in the shoe. That’s the style.
