Shoes for work with good grips?

Can anyone recommend any shoes with black or brown leather for work that have good grips? My Ecco ones finally need replacing now after a few years! Hoping to keep it under £100. Thanks.
I work in an office. I need shoes that look professional but can handle the snow and ice without me ending up on my rear.

if you need them for your job they should be supplied by your employer at no cost to yourself. Their maintenance and care is up to you. Most safety foot wear have steel toe-caps and all should have non-slip soles. You do not say what your work is as - obviously milking cows in a slippery surface would require different shoes to being on a building site.

How do you pronounce the shoe maker "ECCO"? Like echo? Is it an acronym?

yes it is "echo" not "eeko"

Which golf shoes should I buy: FootJoys or Ecco’s?

Not too worried about price, just comfort and durability for years to come. I only golf 6-10 times per year.

foot joys are cheap but last a good while, and give you the right support. Ecco’s are expensive though last longer then foot joys and also give you the right support. I work at a golf shop and we sell foot joy. i have a pair of ecco’s though because i golf year round. Good luck and don’t stop playing

Men’s Hiking Boots - As Wide As Possible - Recommendations?

Hi, I have a US 9-10 foot, with a narrow heel and extremely wide forefoot. I will be going on a hiking trip in mid-September in New England, where it may or may not be wet and/or cold. If possible, I would like these boots to be also usable (non-slip and warm) in snow. Money is important but fit is more important. I also have podiatric orthoses, so I will need a boot with a removable insole.

I have looked at Ecco Track boots, and their size 43 is the right length, and feels just a tiny bit narrow in the forefoot. Will these boots stretch after I break them in? If my orthoses are like .5-1 cm shorter than the shoe, is that OK as long as the orthoses don’t slip around?

Please also recommend specific brands and models. Thanks a lot!

Danner Mt. Lite II is a classical style boot that comes in many widths. They are tough as nails and extremely comfortable.

to answer the other part of the ? almost all boots will stretch and shrink somewhat.

Is there such a thing as comfortable walking sandals that look good?

I need a pair of walking sandals that I can do 5-10 miles a day in, on concrete. If it were just about comfort alone, I’d get these Ecco sandals, because they feel amazing, but look how ugly they are! I don’t want to look like a granola girl! http://www.shoes.com/Shop/productdetails.aspx?catalog_name=web&pg=5038704&p=EC1085240&CMP=OTC-GoogleBase&partnerid=GoogleBase&cpc=GoogleBase&=campaign=ECCO&category=W&cpckw=ECCO+Womens+Yucatan+Sandal+Sandal+(Black/Mole)&CAWELAID=151106504

I need something with a 1-2 inch heel that is stylish enough that I can wear to dinner, yet comfortable enough to do several miles in.

Any suggestions???????? Price is no object if comfort and style are there!

Geox–they have a website and stores around the country.

Clarks are pretty good, too, and readily available. Their artisan line is better styled–some nice wedge heels.

Camper has some nice wedges, too, and they have a website and shops around the country.

For all three try endless.com, which has free overnight shipping.
