Why do Italian women always have more style than other women?

In Italy, the land of fashion and elegance, it’s only natural that public officials want to look good too. And so the Italian police ordered high heeled-shoes for its 14,750 female police officers, who wanted to give their uniform a younger and sexier look.

No I never I just coundn’t get past how good they looked.
Anyway whoever wrote the story that is only their take on it isn’t it?
I prefer my take on it. Thankyou for the answer anyways

In a male-dominated society, women learn from an early age that to have their way they should hone their communication skills. And style is one of those skills that most of them learn from their mothers, their female relatives or their peers.

In Italy there were no female police agents or officers until 1960, and only in recent years, thanks mostly to intermational treaties upholding equal opportunity principles, they gained access to all branches of defense and police corps which were once a male-only line of work.

Anybody knows that every member of an uniformed corps (be it armed forces, police or park rangers) is never issued just one uniform to wear on all occasions. There are everyday uniforms (for summer and winter) and "parade" uniforms that are worn only on ceremonial events.

Female police officers are issued high-heeled footwear only to be worn by those on desk duty, while officers on patrol (both male and female) tend to wear shoes that must be both comfortable to wear and reliable for foot pursuit (remember that the majority of Italian track and field olympians are drawn from the Police and Armed Forces).

Parade uniforms often include long boots and swords, which are rarely worn any other time. See the difference in the photos listed as sources.

What type/colour suits would a typical Sicilian/Italian man wear to a wedding?

Im Irish, and going to a wedding in Sicily during the summer. I was thinking of wearing a full white suit and white shoes for a bit of fun. Then I was thinking, since its a hot country, maybe this would be standard wear, and it would be ok to wear in that case. Can you tell me, what colour suit would a typical Italian/ Sicilian man wear??

I believe that you should go in a charcoal black suit or even a lighter gray. It is formal but yet typical.

Italian Leather Shoes?

I bought an $8.00 pair of J. Crew Italian Leather shoes from Value Village.
How much do J. Crew Italian Leather shoes go for? I already know Italian Leather shoes are very expensive, though it would also depend on the branding. Would anyone know an average amount these should would cost today if I were to go buy them new?

J Crew shoes are really expensive as you can see here:
http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Navigation/Shoes.jsp
(Just regular suede flats are over $100!)
So, Italian leather ones are probably at LEAST $200.

Looking for Italian shoes in London?

I prefer their styles and sizes, I do not want expensive designer ones, just your average shoe at a reasonable price. No web sites you cannot see accurately or try them on.

Jermyn Street & Savile Row The area comprising Jermyn St, Piccadilly, Burlington Arcade Savile Row is where the English Gentleman and Lady shop for their clothes, shoes and accessories.
Jermyn Street shirts have a reputation the world over,Turnbull and Asser - where Prince Charles buys his shirts Turnbull & Asser are the choice of Prince Charles, though most of the principal makers are not far behind. Harvey & Hudson have a reputation for daring tiger stripes and Hilditch & Key for comfort and durability. Hawes and Curtis are also excellent. Trickers shoes shops along with Lobb round the corner on St James’ Street are essential for footwear. Floris was London’s first parfumers, and they still make excellent soaps and colognes, but their presence next to Paxman Whitbread’s cheese shop (London’s smelliest shop) is a case of opposites attracting.

I know its expensive there, but try it, get an idea of what you want take your mobie phone with you and remind yourself of the information (style, colour and any codes) then shop on the internet for the exact same shoe`s your looking for, you`ll save 50 to 60%.its what I do.

good luck!
