i know not to match my shoes and purse color-wise and so they would be different colors but would it be okay to have both my everyday purse and my everyday shoes be patent leather? the only two shiny things in my everyday outfits?

They’re leather Hush Puppies with 2 inch Louis heels. I can walk for miles in heels without a problem but shoes get so beaten up in this weather with all the slush and road salt. How much can I wear shoes outside for before they start getting really beaten up? well if you have toy walk on slush and road salt ..then it depends on how quality your shoes are, Some can last days ..and some can last a couple of hours. But i would recommend that if you really wanna wear heels for you to get some slippers or flats…and then when you get to destination to wear your heels..

I have a pair of shoes that are red that I want to wear to work but I can only wear black shoes to work. They are leather and I want to dye them black. I don’t want to use spray paint or anything tacky, I want them to look like they were meant to be black.
Unless you already you give them a shoe repair professional, you won’t able to do it.
As I read the other answers, it seems nobody brought the main answer which is they have to be bleached back to the original leather skin color. The professional will basically have to take away all the red dye first. THEN he can dye them in black.
Otherwise, let’s say you use black shoe polish over the actual red color, it will result a nice mess.
Try to find a shoe repair person who actually works leather or ask him/her to give you a reference in your town.

I saw this show on PBS, this guy had some hinty tips, one of them was how he removed scratch marks on leather or shiny white shoes. I forgot the show and cant find any information. any tip on the show or the shoes would be appreciated.
